Average Day Adventure is a point and click escape flash game that was developed by N0RM and released on June 7, 2006.
Although Flash was discontinued on January 12 2021, Average Day Adventure is still playable through BlueMaxima’s Flashpoint.
In Average Day Adventure, the player takes control of a stickman character who is a high school student, coming into school on a Monday morning. Once the player reaches the classroom, they will find nobody there. The main objective of the game is to find out why nobody is at school.
In order to solve the mystery of why nobody appears to be at school, the player must make their way around the school via pointing and clicking, often being presented with the choice between two different routes to take. While most choices will take you further through the game and lead to multiple routes around the school, some are dangerous and may result in the player’s death, causing them to have to restart from a checkpoint.
An example of a dangerous choice would be sliding down the stairs instead of walking down them. Animations of the playable character moving from one area to another or accomplishing tasks make up the bulk of the game between the player clicking choices. While most of these animations are 2D, there are also some 3D animations.
The only controls used in Average Day Adventure is the left mouse click, which the player uses to make choices and interact with objects.
